How to change keyboards in Ubuntu ( How to type in Thaana )

  • Add `keybord indicator` item to the panel.




  • Right click on the item and go to `Preferences`.


  • Click `Add` and select `Maldives`.






  • Now just click on the keybord indicator item to select Maldives and type away.

I set up my scroll-lock key to be a switch between keyboard layouts, `cos I never really use it anyway. Nice post. More and more people are switching to linux these days. Must be vista :p
